(posting again) How do I connect to an openvpn based vpn? I'm trying to use a vpn service from vpngate.net (I'm aware I shouldn't be using a free vpn service. This is just for testing), using kvpnc, but it returns an error saying that the connection was refused. The nm-applet interface also refuses to connect as well.

The L2TP based service from vpngate seems to work well on my android phone.

Hey all, I'm running ubuntu and I'm trying to upgrade to the latest version of node, but I seem to be stuck on v0.10.25

calamity, https://nodejs.org/en/download/package-manager/#debian-and-ubuntu-based-linux-distributions
calamity 2017-03-01 22:34:42
thanks friend!
anddam 2017-03-01 22:38:34
is there a way to have an ls command that automaticall paginate?
anddam 2017-03-01 22:38:55
automatically*
anddam 2017-03-01 22:39:18
also why doesn't less see terminal colors from ls output even using -r ?
B105PH3RE 2017-03-01 22:39:37
without using | more not that i'm aware of
anddam 2017-03-01 22:40:07
B105PH3RE: I'm not sure to get what you said
selckin 2017-03-01 22:40:17
try less -FRSX
anddam 2017-03-01 22:40:24
B105PH3RE: if I have to pipe then it's not automatic pagination
OerHeks 2017-03-01 22:40:31
write an alias for ls | more
anddam 2017-03-01 22:41:28
selckin: only -RX since the less colors and the pagination of ls are separate issues
anddam 2017-03-01 22:41:40
why the choice of more over less?
selckin 2017-03-01 22:41:48
why are you asking stuff you know already
B105PH3RE 2017-03-01 22:42:02
whichever allows pagination
OerHeks 2017-03-01 22:42:25
anddam, so: why the choice of more over less?
anddam 2017-03-01 22:42:37
selckin: no, I don't. I'm asking why less -r (or -R or -RX) doesn't show the colors that are instead preent in ls --color
selckin 2017-03-01 22:42:55
anddam: they often don't output colors when they detect a pipe
anddam 2017-03-01 22:43:22
selckin: mm I see, so it's like a bug by design
selckin 2017-03-01 22:43:23
man ls; search for --color=auto
selckin 2017-03-01 22:43:41
no because ppl like to get ls output and do other things that'll break with the color codes in the stream
anddam 2017-03-01 22:43:44
selckin: ah, 'always'
selckin 2017-03-01 22:43:46
grep
k1l 2017-03-01 22:43:51
which is called a feature, if its a "bug by design"
anddam 2017-03-01 22:44:04
yep
k1l 2017-03-01 22:44:11
you dont call it a bug, when your car stops when you put your foot on the brake
selckin 2017-03-01 22:44:16
anything that doesnt work like his presious majesty wants is clearly a bug
B105PH3RE 2017-03-01 22:44:22
plus it depends your ultimate objective there's multiple ways to do things
anddam 2017-03-01 22:44:43
k1l: I had those "brake" removed from the vehicle, that was a very annoying behavior
