hdon: you don't need to do grub-install for that to be the case
phormat 2017-03-06 13:45:51

phormat 2017-03-06 13:46:04

hdon 2017-03-06 13:46:19
nacc, oh, really? where does it store the boot configurations if not in the mbr? i thought that's what grub-install wrote

where (url) i can find a list of fonts installed on Ubuntu 16.04 by default (on a new system)?
nacc 2017-03-06 13:47:22
hdon: grub-install is for installing grub to a device that's only done once
nacc 2017-03-06 13:47:32
hdon: update-grub writes a config file in /boot that grub is able to read
nacc 2017-03-06 13:47:35
hdon: that's my understanding
dar_ 2017-03-06 13:47:43
OerHeks: is that the repair ?
OerHeks 2017-03-06 13:51:24
phormat, i am looking, but there seems to be no such list
phormat 2017-03-06 13:52:05
i googled unsuccessfully, that's why i am asking here.
OerHeks 2017-03-06 13:52:08
phormat, after install, with 'fc-list' you can see all installed fonts though
phormat 2017-03-06 13:52:17

phormat 2017-03-06 13:54:21
i wanna move all the fonts i have installed to /home/.fonts and leave the default fonts in /usr/share/fonts
