I'm seeing an issue with byobu ... it's making the status bar one char wider than the terminal window, which causes havoc. Ideas? (Images of issue at http://imgur.com/a/0fRoC)

hrm, can someone help me convert the mini.iso image to a UEFI bootable image?
DouglasK 2017-03-07 04:11:00
Kingsy, check out PenDriveLinux.com
yacc 2017-03-07 04:29:46
Tradition. Technically, listening on a port below 1024 was signalling that you are an official service
scottjl 2017-03-07 04:32:19
cat /etc/services if you want to see what services are typically running on what ports.

I have a Laptop in dual boot Kubuntu and Windows 10. I wish to create a virual machine that has its VDI in the windows partition. Is it possible ?
Menzador 2017-03-07 04:33:28
Guest76844: Yes, simply remember to mount the Windows partition
xplora1a 2017-03-07 04:34:05

Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:34:28
Yes but I am unable to create a VDI in windows partiton.
Menzador 2017-03-07 04:34:34
Guest76844: (I would, however, recommend not storing it in an awful please like the root of your Windows partition, so I'd create a symlink someplace to your home folder...)
Menzador 2017-03-07 04:34:54
Guest76844: What error is it throwing?
Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:34:57
Menzador: how do you suggest I do that ?
Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:35:57
Could not create the medium storage unit '/media/beeta/B28CA59E8CA55D9B/VMs/Wai.vdi
Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:36:31
Followed by : VDI: cannot create image '/media/alpha/B28CA59E8CA55D9B/VMs/Wai.vdi' (VERR_WRITE_PROTECT).
Menzador 2017-03-07 04:37:11
Guest76844: Is your mount point read-only?
Kingsy 2017-03-07 04:37:52
Noooooo hehe it installed but not it wont boot
Kingsy 2017-03-07 04:38:01

Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:40:49

Menzador 2017-03-07 04:41:08
Kingsy: Where's your EFI system partition mounted to?
Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:41:08
BTW I tried chmod -R 777 /media/beeta/B28CA59E8CA55D9B
Guest76844 2017-03-07 04:41:08
Menzador: /
Menzador 2017-03-07 04:41:08
Guest76844: That's a bad idea. UNIX permissions are not Windows permissions.
