Fresh install of 16.04.02 and everytime I wake from suspend I cannot connect to wifi. Even with running systemctl network-manager.service restart. The only way to get it back is reboot.
happyfr0gg 2017-02-24 14:15:47
I am getting sick and tired of these GPG No Public Key errors from apt. ARRRRRRHHHH.
joseluna 2017-02-24 14:16:14
hola
bazhang 2017-02-24 14:16:19
!gpgerr | happyfr0gg have you seen this
ubottu 2017-02-24 14:16:19
happyfr0gg have you seen this: Getting GPG errors after adding custom repositories? Find the GPG keyword for the repository (it's 437D05B5 for the standard ones) and run « sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com »
tarball 2017-02-24 14:16:34
the only other thing I changed was to disable Intel AMT
tarball 2017-02-24 14:16:54
ah, and a bios update
FMan 2017-02-24 14:16:57
it also talks about GA stacks
nacc 2017-02-24 14:17:14
FMan: GA = General Availability, the version that shipped with 16.04.1
happyfr0gg 2017-02-24 14:17:59
ubottu, Do I take the GPG key from the error I get from apt and include that in the command you gave me?
ubottu 2017-02-24 14:17:59
happyfr0gg: I am only a bot, please don't think I'm intelligent :)
Bashing-om 2017-02-24 14:18:03
happyfr0gg: ?? maybe ' sudo apt-key update ' <-which can fix the missing Ubuntu keys .
OERIAS 2017-02-24 14:18:14
Can Someone help with an error that says something about withholding broken packages?
happyfr0gg 2017-02-24 14:33:18
I have a bunch of software on my system that I have installed over the last few years.
nacc 2017-02-24 14:34:08
happyfr0gg: all from PPAs? why? you understand there's no guarantee any of it is good, or maintained, etc.
Bashing-om 2017-02-24 14:34:42
OERIAS: So far so good " 4 packages can be upgraded " carry on with ' sudo apt upgrade ' :)
Mitchy 2017-02-24 14:34:49
its ok oerheks i was to impatient and ignorant you guys are aesome
happyfr0gg 2017-02-24 14:35:08
Can I delete PPA's without affecting the software installed?
uzjsn 2017-02-24 14:35:15
yes
OERIAS 2017-02-24 14:35:17
Bashing-om, also worth noting Transmission has "Disappeared"
OerHeks 2017-02-24 14:35:30
happyfr0gg, ppa-purge works with correct keys, AFAIK...
OerHeks 2017-02-24 14:35:37
!ppapurge
ubottu 2017-02-24 14:35:37
To disable a PPA from your sources and revert your packages back to default Ubuntu packages, install ppa-purge and use the command: « sudo ppa-purge ppa:/ » – For more information, see http://www.webupd8.org/2009/12/remove-ppa-repositories-via-command.html
tarball 2017-02-24 14:36:53
as I mentioned above, I recently got two instant display blackouts followed by shutdowns in a short interval..I've just excluded third party software during my fresh install. could that be related to this problem?
tarball 2017-02-24 14:36:53
like drivers etc.?
uzjsn 2017-02-24 14:36:53
does your system overheat?
tarball 2017-02-24 14:36:53
uzjsn, no
