php 2017-01-27 13:15:23
i cant google anything
whatnow 2017-01-27 13:15:38
jayjo, you load grub, a bootloader, to boot ubuntu, the kernel
whatnow 2017-01-27 13:16:04
jayjo, if you can;t boot into ubuntu, then best to back up your data files, then reinstall
whatnow 2017-01-27 13:16:25

whatnow 2017-01-27 13:18:03
Guest12015 it looksl ike your packets arent getting through
Guest12015 2017-01-27 13:18:41
that ping work . but why the google.com did not work?
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:19:29
Guest12015: if you can ping 8.8.8.8 but not www.google.com then your DNS setting are probably the problem
whatnow 2017-01-27 13:19:36
it works for me, Guest12015. Best bet your dns server isn't configured correctly
Guest12015 2017-01-27 13:19:56

Ubuntu 16.04
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:22:38
Guest12015: actually, based on your ping output, it looks like it is trying to use IPv6 to reach google. Do you have a working ipv6 setup?
whatnow 2017-01-27 13:23:19
php do you have the correct drivers installed?
php 2017-01-27 13:23:22

php 2017-01-27 13:23:30

whatnow 2017-01-27 13:24:39

php 2017-01-27 13:24:52
That's where I was getting the drivers :/

Jharm 2017-01-27 13:27:42
wedgie thanks, and sorry for not being clear. The AP Client its a wireless access point that i use to connect my server wirelessly to my my modem. i know i have my port set up corrrectly in the apache2, ports, and example.com .conf files.
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:28:37
Jharm: so from the server locally can you do ''curl http://localhost/'' ?
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:29:32
and just for clarity, i can reach my server over ssl(https). but for some reason i cant reach it with http.
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:29:45
local it works remotely no. but let me try that
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:31:28
ok, remotely being "on the other side of the AP"?
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:32:16
and the other routher which the ap is connectect to wirelessly. and that second router is connect to modem
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:32:38
does the AP do nat?
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:33:20
sounds like port forwarding is the most likey cause... make sure you verify that you have a portforward for port 80 everywhere you have one for 443
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:33:21
ok i tried the command you seggested and i got and output of the html file
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:33:38
Jharm: ok, so the server is probably working correctly
lvl12firemage 2017-01-27 13:34:27
I had no idea you could use terminal for IRC
lvl12firemage 2017-01-27 13:34:30
Rad.
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:34:36
ok ill double check again but im ive opened port 80 of my routers. and also look into nat. honestly im not sure. thanks
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:35:38
*all of my routers
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:36:15
Jharm: well, walk it back one hop at a time. Can a computer on your local network, but outside of the AP access http?
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:36:58
yes any computer that is connected to either router behind modem locally can reach it with no issue
php 2017-01-27 13:37:17
I'm back whatnow
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:37:48
but if im trying to reach it remotely from main ip address i can only reach the https not http.
php 2017-01-27 13:37:49
"Sorry, Ubuntu 16.04 has experienced an internal error."
php 2017-01-27 13:37:57
It's an nvidia thing I think
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:37:58
ok, then it must be the outermost router
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:38:05
i was thing of just getting the ssl certificate, but its driving me crazy that i cant get it to work.. lol
php 2017-01-27 13:38:40
"Xorg crashed with SIGABRT in OsAbort()"
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:38:49
Jharm: sometimes ISPs block port 80. But the ones that do usually block 443 too...
php 2017-01-27 13:38:58
"Error: [Errno 21] Is a directory: '/proc/driver/nvidia/gpus/0000:01:00.0'
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:39:19
ok cool. ive called them and they said they dont block it.
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:40:25
now the router behind wireless accesspoint uses a 10.0.0.1 ip. and other connect to modem uses 192. dont know if that has anything to do
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:40:31
Jharm: then double check that last router then. Works if you're inside of it but not outside of it
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:41:26
Jharm: let me make sure i understand your topology: Internet -> modem -> router -> AP -> server is that right?
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:42:23
internet -> modem -> router -> AP -> router -> server, i know its wierd
wedgie 2017-01-27 13:42:58
ok, and something sitting between router1 and ap can access the server on port 80?
barnito 2017-01-27 13:44:31
I am actually impressed with win10 Linux
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:44:49
internet works on all machines behind AP. i can connect remotely, ftp, and many other things. but when i try http nothing
Jharm 2017-01-27 13:45:01
so that proves that its port fowarding.
