tomreyn: s/could/should
cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:49:03
tomreyn: but thanks, good to know
acresearch 2017-01-30 05:49:11
hello ubuntu people, i have corrected a error in the ubuntu arabic keyboard layout for apple computers, how can I submit my work to the ubuntu developers so they can include it in their future releases?
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:32
can someone explain this to me
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:38
ps aux | grep weechat
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:40
is get
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:44
mikey 5321 0.0 0.0 14224 924 pts/3 S+ 11:48 0:00 grep weechat
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:52
so i pkill -9 14224
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:57
ps aux | grep weechat
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:49:59
it's still there
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:50:07
i run htop, and dont see weechat anywhere, even if I search
mcphail 2017-01-30 05:50:20
mikeymop: of course it is. All you are seeing is your own "ps" command
mcphail 2017-01-30 05:50:38
being piped through the grep
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:50:42
this explains the grep weechat on the end
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:50:49
that makes sense, ty
mcphail 2017-01-30 05:50:52
indeed
mcphail 2017-01-30 05:50:55
:)
NickBelarus 2017-01-30 05:51:08
ps aux | grep weechat should produce two lines
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:51:29
now i know
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:51:37
well, my ssh connection just dies sometimes
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:51:39
but it's always once a day
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:51:46
either around this time 1130ish, or 315ish
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:51:57
i'm trying to figure out why, and sometimes when it DC's I lose my weechat session and have to kill it
cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:53:39
mikeymop: side-note: with pkill you can do something like # pkill weechat
ducasse 2017-01-30 05:53:54
mikeymop: run weechat in tmux
cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:54:00
with the kill command you have to use PID # kill -s KILL 14224
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:54:09
can I? I thought so. I remember doing that a while ago however I wasn't sure if it was workin because of my ps aux confusion
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:54:11
ducasse: i do
minimec 2017-01-30 05:54:11
acresearch: search for the package in packages.ubuntu.com and contact the 'Maintainer'. Other possibility would be to file a bug for the given package in launchpad and describe your solution...
ducasse 2017-01-30 05:54:42
minimec: then why kill weechat? you can just reattach to it
ducasse 2017-01-30 05:55:00
mikeymop: ^^
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:55:22
in this case, today, it was for another reason
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:55:29
where it was bugging out
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:55:50
when my ssh connectoin 'write failed, connection reset by peer' happens
mikeymop 2017-01-30 05:56:12
and i try to reconect, ssh behaves extremely slowly, so I kill weechat so I can at least use ssh for the few minutes until it the connection fixes itself
cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:56:29
acresearch: this might help you https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReportingBugs don't feel overwhelmed, this covers all sorts of various procedures for different bugs and is quite a thorough description
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 05:56:34
um wiki.ubuntu.com is giving me a http 500 wrror.
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 05:56:36

cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:56:57

cisstrd 2017-01-30 05:56:59

cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:00:14
jcjordyn120: your link works for me too
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:00:48
well what would cause a HTTP 500 error?
genii 2017-01-30 06:02:02
jcjordyn120: "Internal Server Error" , which is what error 500 is, is like a catch-all error for "we're not sure what exactly happened but the server has a problem"
acresearch 2017-01-30 06:02:07
cisstrd: thanks
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:02:23
genii, ah
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:02:27

Tahr-Poop 2017-01-30 06:03:42
Is Reiser4 supported in ubuntu kernel or do i have to patch it?
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:04:12
jcjordyn120: preferences -> privacy -> then look under history, select "use custom settings for history"
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:04:20
ah
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:04:30

acresearch 2017-01-30 06:04:54

jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:05:06
cisstrd, there are no cookies.
minimec 2017-01-30 06:06:09
acresearch: what file did you change?
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:06:25
jcjordyn120: yes, wiki.ubuntu.com doesn't seem to use cookies, my bad, couldn't know that
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:06:35
jcjordyn120: though if it were using them this actually could have fixed it
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:06:42
ah
acresearch 2017-01-30 06:07:04
minimec: 1 moment i will find you the path
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:07:48

cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:08:01
jcjordyn120: I copy-pasted your link, you can see it here http://dpaste.com/2VSRQCR
cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:08:22
jcjordyn120: well not the link, the site's info from your link
quickwritereader 2017-01-30 06:08:33

cisstrd 2017-01-30 06:08:49
quickwritereader: you have to do /join #bountysource
quickwritereader 2017-01-30 06:08:56
yes ))
acresearch 2017-01-30 06:08:59
minimec: the path is as follows: /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ara the ara file
jcjordyn120 2017-01-30 06:09:25
cisstrd, ah
minimec 2017-01-30 06:10:02
acresearch: Ok. Now try 'dpkg -S /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ara' in the terminal. If you are lucky, you will get that package name...
acresearch 2017-01-30 06:10:55
minimec: i get this xkb-data: /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/ara
minimec 2017-01-30 06:11:32
acresearch: So xkb-data is the package... http://packages.ubuntu.com/search?suite=all§ion=all&arch=any&keywords=xkb-data&searchon=names
acresearch 2017-01-30 06:12:02
