OerHeks 2017-01-27 06:10:05
I noticed fresh guest additions update, few minutes ago.
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:10:40
OerHeks: well there should be nothing left of vbox anymore. I've also checked the *.ko's
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:12:25
OerHeks: Any ideas what could be going wrong on my machine?
dirtylifeandtime 2017-01-27 06:12:48
is it good practice to move an executable into a directory already included in $PATH instead of adding a directory to the $PATH??
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:13:12
dirtylifeandtime: depends i'd say
nacc 2017-01-27 06:13:12
dirtylifeandtime: depends on the directory you are referring to
OerHeks 2017-01-27 06:13:39
Anticom, no idea, mouse seems detected, so that serverboard has open usb ports. else i would look into the bios for disable usb
alias_neo 2017-01-27 06:13:59
tatertots: Firmware was already installed it seems, dmesg says iscsi driver is loaded, I'm not sure what else to look for? You said it mentioned ROM not eing loaded?
dirtylifeandtime 2017-01-27 06:14:36
nacc: it's Apache Directory Studio...right now it's just in my ~/Downloads
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:14:39
OerHeks: Well the movement is recognized by xinput. I'm puzzled
nacc 2017-01-27 06:15:38
dirtylifeandtime: I'm assuming it's not just an executable, but an entire "studio", which might depend on relative paths to where you run it from. So it's (completely guessing) possibly it's not as simple as just moving a script
dirtylifeandtime 2017-01-27 06:17:03
nacc: you're right. it depends on a lot of other files in the same directory
PipeItToDevNull 2017-01-27 06:19:45
I wanna cuddle me some heroin
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:20:19
I just got my collegues mouse and tested it using xinput test. There even left mouse click is recorded. However the UI doesn't respond to clicks / d'n'd
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:20:47
i don't get this
ioria 2017-01-27 06:24:44
Anticom, and what gui is that ?
tatertots 2017-01-27 06:26:27
alias_neo: have you attempted to present a LUN to the system?
tatertots 2017-01-27 06:27:35
Anticom: were you able to debug things? if not produce a report and have it analyzed
alias_neo 2017-01-27 06:28:54
tatertots: no, I'm not familiar with the terminology, do you mean, hook it up to my switch?
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:29:00
tatertots, OerHeks : OMG i solved it. You'll never guess it. My left mousebutton just broke silently. I wasn't testing the other mouse properly
alias_neo 2017-01-27 06:29:13
tatertots: I haven't hooked up anything to it yet, but I can...
Anticom 2017-01-27 06:29:14
Switching to anothere mouse just fixed the problem, so that's at least what i'm assuming
OerHeks 2017-01-27 06:30:40
Anticom :-)
tatertots 2017-01-27 06:36:35
alias_neo: what were you planning on doing with the card?
nacc 2017-01-27 06:37:48
dirtylifeandtime: it seems like what you actually want to do is 'install' it, for some definition of that specificy to the tool you're trying to use
koen_ 2017-01-27 06:38:39

koen_: Don't feel ignored and repeat your question quickly; if nobody knows your answer, nobody will answer you. While you wait, try searching https://help.ubuntu.com or http://ubuntuforums.org or http://askubuntu.com/
SynfulAck 2017-01-27 06:40:33
Anyone know how to get powerline installed on tmux?
kang0 2017-01-27 06:41:08
Any windows or Android expert?
tatertots 2017-01-27 06:41:22
koen_: what nic/vnic settings are you using?.....if this gets much deeper than this...one of these guys will say you're offtopic....best head to #vmware and i'll help you there
nacc 2017-01-27 06:41:25
kang0: i feel like neither of those are ontopic for this channel
BluesKaj 2017-01-27 06:42:14
kang0, no support here for either of those OSs
nacc 2017-01-27 06:42:26
SynfulAck: `apt install powerline` then read the documentation?
kang0 2017-01-27 06:42:58
What's difference between iso and IMG file
SynfulAck 2017-01-27 06:43:05
nacc, its unclear to me, idk where to get a tmux.conf file, the last one i tried broke functionality.
nacc 2017-01-27 06:44:07
SynfulAck: it's shipped by the package afaict?
pavlos 2017-01-27 06:44:21
koen_, try setting the network adapter to bridge instead of nat and try again
nacc 2017-01-27 06:44:29
SynfulAck: well, not tmux.conf, but tmux/powerline.conf (which you'd presumable source in your tmux.conf)
